CodeRED Alert System

Harrison County and the City of Cynthiana have teamed with the Emergency Communications Network in order to deliver timely community disaster and preparedness information through the use of the CodeRED system.

CodeRED allows for citizens and business to subscribe to an automated telephone notification from the dispatch center and any other agencies in the event of a disaster or emergency. Subscribing to the service is very quick and easy. Citizens/businesses with Internet access can visit the subscription page, and enter their name, address, and contact information. Persons without Internet access can visit the County Judge-Executive's office, or the dispatch center to pick up a form requesting the same information.

To enroll in the CodeRED notification system online, please follow the link below:

Now on Twitter and FriendFeed

HarrisonEMA.com has now expanded into the social realms of Twitter and FriendFeed!

Currently, the twitter account is set to update every two minutes with weather watches, warnings, and advisories. The account will also update every hour with advisories for the South Fork of the Licking River (when advisory criteria is met). Both sets of notifications are pulled from RSS feeds originating from the National Weather Service.

The FriendFeed account is set to pull updates from our Twitter, YouTube, and Picasa accounts.
